Empowered Spirit Healing

Reiki is a beautiful, powerful, but gentle hands-on healing technique that helps people in so many different ways, from pain relief to reducing anxiety and depression. You may or may not have heard of Reiki before, but read on to find out what Reiki is and how it can benefit you and your pets. 

What is Reiki? 

Reiki, pronounced ‘RAY-key’ is a Japanese healing modality that aims to increase the flow of energy in the body, which reduces stress and anxiety, promotes relaxation and improves wellbeing. By increasing the flow of energy, our body is able to heal itself at the core, treating the cause of the problem as well as the symptoms. The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words Rei and Ki. Rei means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki means “life force energy”. 

Reiki is based on the philosophy that we all have ki or life force energy that flows through our bodies. If our life force energy is low, we are more likely to feel tired, stressed and have a lower immune system which results in us getting sick. On the other hand, when our life force energy is high our bodies are vital, energetic and strong so we are able to handle the daily stressors of life without feeling drained or getting sick. 

How Does Reiki Work? 

In order for someone to practice Reiki, they need to have an attunement from a Reiki Master/Teacher (Level III). This can be received in-person or by distance, but only the in-person method is recognised by the official Reiki Associations. The attunement is a gift from spirit that will stay with you for life. It is like an initiation where the ability to access the Universal Life Force Energy is transferred from the teacher to the student. 

The attunement is important because it permanently changes the students energy field so that Reiki energy can flow through them. It opens the crown, heart and palm energy centres. Then the student is able to put their hands on someone with the intention of healing and the Reiki energy flows through. In this way the practitioner is a channel for the Universal Life Force Energy which is what heals the person and/or animal receiving it. 

It is very common for people receiving the Level II attunement to become more psychic and intuitive because the attunement brings the students mental and emotional bodies into alignment and connects their spiritual essence to their higher self. It clears energy pathways or blocks and strengthens their connection to  the Universal Life Force. Students often seek less drama in their life and choose healthier lifestyles after receiving this attunement.  

Levels of Reiki 

There are three different levels of Reiki. 

Level I Reiki – where you receive a Level I attunement, gives you the knowledge and ability to practice on yourself, friends, family and pets.  

Level II Reiki – where you receive a Level II attunement, which is believed to be a higher level of universal energy, gives you the ability to practice on paying clients as a professional healer. 

Level III Reiki is the Master level where you can teach other people Reiki and give attunements to students.

Remote or Distance Healing with Reiki 

When you complete Level II Reiki, you learn the distance healing symbol. The distance symbol is able to transcend time, space and distance which allows you to send Reiki and heal people and pets who are anywhere in the world! Distance healing can be used to heal past, present and future issues and even Mother Earth herself. The incredible thing about Reiki is that the distance healing sessions are just as powerful as in-person sessions because the universal healing energy is perfect unconditionally loving energy that knows no barriers. So you can receive an amazing and powerful healing from any Reiki practitioner anywhere in the world.

 Since receiving my in-person Level II Reiki Attunement in December 2022, my intuitive abilities have dramatically increased. This is very common when someone learns Reiki because Reiki helps us to grow on a spiritual level and an increase in psychic and healing abilities are a natural by-product of spiritual growth.  

When I tune into the Universal Energy of Reiki I just seem to know that a particular part of the body needs a certain colour or needs to be cleared out or needs light and energy poured into it. I have always felt very connected to Angels, even as a young girl, so my team of Angels, spirit guides and sometimes Ascended Masters join in to assist with the healing session (although Reiki is powerful enough on its own) and sometimes they will share a message to be passed onto my client.
